Eclipse Of Divine Light
Kira was forged in 2015 amidst the metal-rich veins of Opoczno, central Poland. The band's inception was driven by the enigmatic Nameless (guitar, music; Nomad, ex-Ethelyn), who enlisted the raw power of Groshek (drums; Nomad, Peacemaker) and the haunting presence of Mysth (vocals, bass, lyrics; Ethelyn, Deathstorm). This sinister trio unleashed their debut album, "Ancient Lies," in 2017, a malevolent creation brought to life by Krzysztof Mikka's "Tales From Crematoria" and disseminated by Putrid Cult.
Ancient Lies Lineup:
- Groshek – Drums
- Mysth Eriös – Vocals
- Nameless – Guitars
Following the album's release, Mysth was succeeded by Hellishdust on vocals, with Peter taking up the bass. The band's dark synergy was further solidified in 2018 with the addition of Cannibal on the second guitar, marking the beginning of the creation of their next infernal opus.
During the promotion of Crusm, Hellishdust’s path crossed with Nameless through the guidance of Krzysztof Mikka, leading to his recruitment into Kira. This collaboration bore fruit in 2020 with the recording of "Peccatum et Blasphemia," released by Ossuary Records on CD and by Mospharic Recording Limited on cassette.
Peccatum et Blasphemia Lineup:
- Groshek – Drums
- Nameless – Guitars
- Peter – Bass
- Cannibal – Guitars
- Hellishdust – Vocals
In 2021, the band carved another dark chapter with "The Hallowed Mass of the Black Hearts," unleashed on CD via Ossuary Records.
The Hallowed Mass of the Black Hearts Lineup:
- Groshek – Drums
- Nameless – Guitars
- Peter – Bass
- Cannibal – Guitars
- Hellishdust – Vocals
After this record, Kira's ranks dwindled to Nameless and Hellishdust, as other members were claimed by time and other commitments. Yet, the fires of creation still burn fiercely.
On September 1st, 2024, Unfathomable Veil Records is set to unleash Kira's latest abomination, "Lucifer’s Inferno." This fourth album from the Polish Titans of Black/Death Metal promises a merciless plunge into pure hellfire.
Lucifer’s Inferno Lineup:
- Nameless – Strings of Chaos and Terrors of the Night
- Hellishdust – Nocturnal Chants and Black Plasma
- Guest appearance: Vit Forest – Hammers of Demolition
